Teenage hacker
Hacking with friends until we deleted each other's files. Then computers clicking ads all night. We didn't get rich – but we learned a lot.

AI before ChatGPT
At Volunteer World we used TensorFlow to benchmark a whole range of models and take the best one. I do exactly that again today when an agent gets its model.

Early on web standards
We built Volunteer World and Bienenwanderung with Google's Polymer, the trailblazer for Web Components – today they run in every browser.

Research and consulting
Business informatics in Münster, three years of research and seminars – including on AI. I left the PhD for my first start-up.

2023 · CroatiaFounded Venture Code Croatia
Venture Code Croatia was our third subsidiary after Poland and Romania – with Marta as co-CEO, who ran it, and a head of HR.
2023Founded MachineMaster
Founded with Veit, now online as a platform. For a classic family business that sells offline, moving into online sales is a really exciting case.
2023130 years of Moerschen
For the anniversary we introduced customer cards for all Moerschen customers with machine profiles via Tap2Link – and handed them straight to everyone who took part in the event.
2024Opening of Creator Studios
A place for content creators: they use it as their address, have their items delivered there and manage everything in an app – including what they do not want to accept and send back. That way the goods creators receive are handled in a legally compliant way and assessed correctly for tax.
Founded Brylliant
Founded with Richard Erbler: a programme we developed together with Lidl to organise, automate and structure the tendering and briefing of marketing materials. It ran successfully for many years.
RheinFire Heat Club (VIP Edition)
Actually a social project: we supported the RheinFire club with its own fan base and a Heat membership, to bring fans closer to the club and support it financially. It included deeper insights, such as a coach’s debrief – the feedback of a very active group of fans contributed significantly to the club’s positive development and to the communication between club and fan community.

We developed the IoT part here – and still build the frontends today. payfree.io

2023 · VietnamEntrepreneurs’ trip to Vietnam 2023: Vietnam as a developer location / offshoring examined
An entrepreneurs’ trip with family business owners to examine Vietnam as a development location: very fast-moving, lots of young people who are eager to work – and to work a lot. In Germany the country is hardly on the radar, and the location was rejected because many would rather go to India. From Venture Labs’ perspective Vietnam is by far the more interesting location.
