Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
In short: this site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It measures visits only anonymously and without cookies, with Plausible Analytics (EU servers). Fonts and images are hosted on our own web space. Data is only processed because a server has to deliver the page, and when you write to us yourself – by email or through the contact form.
1. Who is responsible?
This website (wenzelchristian.de) is the personal site of Christian Wenzel and is operated by Venture Labs GmbH. The controller under the GDPR is:
Venture Labs GmbHBreite Str. 27
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany
Managing director: Christian Wenzel
Phone: +49 156 78 387064
Email: contact [at] venturelabs.team
2. Hosting at Netlify
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). When you open it, Netlify processes technically necessary data in server logs: your IP address, date and time, the page or file requested, the page you came from (referrer) and your browser details.
The purpose is to deliver the site and protect it against misuse and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse these logs; Netlify keeps them only as long as needed for these purposes.
We have a data processing agreement with Netlify (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. This is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR) and the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
3. Fonts
The fonts Figtree and Instrument Serif are hosted on our own web space. Loading the page therefore makes no connection to Google or any other font service.
4. Audience measurement with Plausible, no cookies
We set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. For audience measurement we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia; servers in the EU). When you open a page, your browser loads a script from plausible.io and sends the page viewed, the referrer, browser, operating system, device type and a rough country. Plausible sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not store your IP address and builds no profiles across pages or days; we only see totals. Clicks on outbound links (for example to the booking page) are counted as a total, too.
The purpose is to see which content is read. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can object (Art. 21 GDPR), an email is enough. No cookie banner is needed because nothing is stored on or read from your device. More: plausible.io/data-policy.
5. Booking a call
The “Free intro call” button is a plain link to appointment booking in Google Calendar (calendar.app.google). As long as you don't click it, no connection to Google is made. Only after the click does Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) process your data, and if you book, the details you enter there. Google's privacy policy applies. We use the booking details only to prepare and hold the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
6. Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a possible project, otherwise (f)). We delete the message once the request is settled, unless statutory retention periods require longer (for business letters, for example, up to six years under § 257 of the German Commercial Code).
7. Contact form
The home page and the “About” page have a contact form. When you send it, we store your name, your email address, your message, your confirmation of the privacy policy, the language and the page you write from, and the time. The form is processed by Netlify Forms, a service of Netlify, Inc. (see section 2, same data processing agreement, same basis for the transfer to the USA). Netlify checks incoming messages for spam automatically and notifies us by email to our mailbox contact@venturelabs.team.
The purpose is to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (a request before a possible contract). We delete the submission at Netlify as soon as your request is settled, at the latest after 12 months. For the email in our mailbox, section 6 applies.
8. Links to other sites
The site links to LinkedIn and X and to the sites of the companies presented here (for example venturelabs.team). These are plain links: only when you click do you leave this site, and the privacy policy of that provider applies there.
9. Your rights
You have the right to
- access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification (Art. 16) and erasure (Art. 17),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20),
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21).
An email to us is enough.
10. Complaints to the supervisory authority
You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW)Kavalleriestraße 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf, Germany
